🌿 The Language of the Trees: The Ogham Oracle
Ogham staves are not quite as well-known as the runestones, which were mostly used by the ancient Germanic tribes for a sacred oracle.
Ancient Origins: The Ogham characters are said to have originated in the early Middle Ages, approximately in the 3rd to 6th century of our era. It is not entirely certain, and other voices softly whisper that this script is already well over 4,000 years old.
The Branches of Knowledge: They were carved into stones by the ancient Celts. This is closely comparable to the “rune carving” into wood by the early Germanic tribes. The sacred alphabet consisted of exactly twenty characters, and each character profoundly stands for a tree. The strokes of the Ogham script beautifully symbolized the branches of the trees.
✨ Protection and Remembrance: What Ogham Was Used For
The Celts actively used them for deep magical purposes, such as for a wise oracle, for protective spells, to fiercely ward off dark spirits, and for the honorable remembrance of the dead. One can easily compare it with a rune oracle of the ancient Germanic peoples.
The Oracle Today: Nowadays, we respectfully take a small pouch and place the Ogham staves inside, and then three of them are drawn out blindly. From these three drawn staves, one deeply interprets a question that was asked beforehand.

🪓 Craft of Magic: Making Ogham Staves Yourself
The branches of the respective trees should be approximately 1 cm in diameter and 10 to 12 cm long.
A Vital Foraging Tip: It is absolutely best if you do not cut the wood directly from the living tree, but rather gather branches that are already resting on the forest floor.
The Bark’s Soul: The bark should definitely remain on the stave, because it truly characterizes the respective tree spirit.
The Crafting Guide:
Shaping: You can cut the staves at a gentle angle or, as I have done, carefully remove half of the bark to carve the sacred signs there.
Carving: You can carve them entirely by hand or respectfully use a Dremel for it.
The Final Polish: Finally, I traced the Ogham signs with a wood-burning tool so that they can be seen much better deep within the wood.
Safekeeping: The staves are best kept safe in a small wooden box or a dedicated cloth pouch.

🌳 The 20 Trees: Meaning and Message
I will write down the profound meaning of the individual trees for you here. This is merely a gentle guide, for you must deeply write and craft your own personal Ogham oracle yourself. Then it is much more powerful and meaningful than if I strictly dictate the meaning to you.
